Oregon State Hospital
Situated on 100 acres, this new facility will feature spaces for patient housing, counseling and treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor recreation areas, and staff offices. The campus consists of 6 buildings: Kirkbride is a remodel of the original State Hospital building, consisting of 5 Huntair fan wall units, 155 terminal units, over 100 chilled beams and an integrated Smoke Control system. In the ABC Building, the mechanical system consists of 4 Huntair Fanwall units, over 300 terminal units and an integrated Smoke Control system. The mechanical system in the PSR Building consists of 6 Huntair Fanwall units, over 500 terminal units and an integrated Smoke Control system. In the Transitional/Neuro/Gero Building, the mechanical system consists of 6 Huntair Fanwall units, over 500 terminal units and an integrated Smoke Control system. The Central Plant and Kitchen includes: 3 make-up air units, 3 Huntair Fanwall units, over 60 terminal units, 3 chilled water systems, heating water system, monitor and report 10+ energy meters, weather station, monitor and alarm medical gas systems. In the Physical Plant, the Mechanical system consists of 10 rooftop heating cooling units, 16 heaters and 2 fancoil units. The Oregon State Hospital replacement project is an effort to revitalize and modernize Oregon’s mental health system of care with “front-end” services that prevent the need for hospitalization and “back-end” or community services that will ensure a patient’s successful recovery after hospitalization. The Salem facility is opening in phases and is scheduled to be fully operational by the end of 2011. |
